Project Management
The project manager analyzes the texts, defines terminology in consultation with the client, and assigns files to the translators. The project manager is also responsible for coordination, distribution of updated files, and terminology management.
Editing
The editor's work, in our opinion, actually starts before the translation, with establishing of key terminology. When the translator(s) have translated a few thousand words, the editor edits the text and then get back to all the translators with comments and updated/changed terminology. In this way we don't have to deal with the impossible task of changing terminology in huge volumes of text after the translation has been completed. Far better to do everything right from the start than to try to fix the text afterwards!
In practice, this means we carefully analyze the text and make decisions about style and terminology before we start translating. We also decide how to translate recurrent phrases, expressions, and procedures to create consistency. We discuss any questions that may arise and solve them in consultation with the client.
Proofreading
We proofread and polish all texts.
Terminology Management
We give advice on how a company can ensure consistent terminology in all their printed materials. We also prepare glossaries based on the current translation and/or the client's existing terminology.
DTP
Desktop Publishing. We offer DTP services for large projects.
